What impresses me about Pa’s Pride is the abundance of flowers and tomatoes produced by such a small plant. This multiflora micro-dwarf, reaching just 20–30 cm tall, produces generous clusters of cherry-to-cocktail-sized tomatoes that are relatively large for such a compact plant. The fruits are brick-red with olive-green stripes.

The tomatoes offer a balanced flavor, with a slight sweetness, mild acidity, and noticeable aromatics. Their firm, meaty flesh gives them a texture that stands out from that of smaller, juicier cherry tomatoes.

I appreciate varieties that offer surprises despite their small size. Pa’s Pride stands out for its abundant production, colorful fruits, and meaty texture without requiring much space. A sturdy support is necessary to hold up its many clusters. It is an interesting choice for container growing or small gardens where every inch counts.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that pleases everyone, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen and your habits.
