A compact and productive paste tomato that produces attractive elongated red fruits with particularly dense flesh.

What stands out about Northern Ruby Paste is its ability to produce an abundant harvest over a relatively short period. Unlike many indeterminate paste tomatoes that produce over an extended season, its crop ripens within a more concentrated period. This is an advantage for gardeners who want to harvest enough ripe fruits at once to prepare their preserves and sauces.

Its deep red, Roma type fruits measure approximately 10 cm in length. They have thick, meaty and dense flesh, along with a classic paste tomato flavor, well balanced between sweetness and acidity.

Originally a Heinz variety, Northern Ruby Paste was maintained and selected by Doug Beaty in Montana to obtain a more compact, early and productive plant. Its determinate plants reach approximately 60 to 90 cm in height and produce fruit in about 70 days.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
