An elongated cherry tomato, pink marbled with gold, producing abundant clusters of beautiful fruits on a compact plant.

What I like about Maglia Rosa is its firm, juicy flesh, which offers a balanced flavor with a noticeable sweetness, mild acidity, and well-developed aromas.

Its oval, elongated tomatoes, often ending in a small point, grow in clusters of about ten fruits. They are beautiful, with their pink skin contrasting against golden-yellow stripes. To fully enjoy their flavor, I recommend tasting them while they are still pale pink, before they reach full maturity. You can decide whether this stage of ripeness suits your own preferences.

Developed by Fred Hempel, this modern variety comes  from a cross between Speckled Roman and Black Cherry. Its compact, semi-determinate plant is both early and productive, making it well suited to container growing and smaller spaces.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
