A yellow tomato for those who enjoy well-pronounced flavors.

Over my tastings of Jochalos, it’s the sustained sweetness and fruity aromas that keep me coming back to it. The flavor of its yellow tomatoes has just enough acidity to awaken the palate.

Its small fruits offer a pronounced flavor, with a fruity character that complements the sweetness without being overshadowed by it.

At around 30 cm tall, Jochalos easily fits into a small pot, on a balcony, in a planter, or indoors with a little supplemental lighting.

Originally from Bolivia, this micro-dwarf produces early, reaching maturity in about 55 days after transplanting.

And if your fingers are itching to get started, sow it indoors whenever you like. It’s a great way to wait for the season.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that pleases everyone, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
