An elongated red tomato with a melting texture and rich flavor, highlighted by a delicate salty note. An excellent choice for sauces as well as fresh eating.

What I appreciate about Heidi is its rich flavor and pronounced taste intensity, which give it plenty of personality for a paste-type tomato. Its red fruits weigh approximately 85 g and have an elongated shape, with dense, melting, slightly juicy flesh and thin skin. A delicate salty note adds an interesting dimension to its flavor profile.

This heirloom variety, originating in Cameroon, is also appreciated for its productivity and culinary qualities. Its dense flesh makes it particularly well suited to sauces, purées and preserving. It is also delicious eaten fresh, where its rich flavor can fully shine.

Its semi-determinate plant produces generous yields of fruit in approximately 90 days. It also shows good tolerance to diseases, cracking and splitting.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
