Heirloom native to Virginia, introduced in 1914, producing large ribbed tomatoes. Its tasty flesh, orange-yellow veined with rose, is very fragrant. Semi-indeterminate.

Sow indoors, 5mm deep, 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant. Gradually acclimatize outdoors, before transplanting, when all risk of frost has passed.
