What I admire about Gloria’s Treat is the contrast between the bright yellow of its fruits and their red, pink and orange stripes. Its beautiful, round tomatoes, almost heart-shaped, weigh between 150 and 300 g. Their fruity, sweet flavor is accompanied by noticeable acidity that never dominates. The flesh is meltingly tender and juicy, but may seem mealy to some people when the fruits are very ripe. My recommendation is to try tasting them earlier to see if you prefer them that way.
Its plant reaches about 1.20 m in height and has potato-leaf foliage.
Gloria’s Treat was developed as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project, a collaborative dwarf tomato breeding project involving Craig LeHoullier.
Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
