A very productive dwarf tomato with dark pink-purple, elongated plum-shaped fruits and a mild, well-balanced flavor.

What I appreciate about Dwarf Almandine is the beautiful color of its fruits and their elongated shape. Their meaty, dense flesh contains little gel, making them particularly well suited to sauces and coulis. The flavor is pleasant and well balanced, with subtle acidity and delicate aromas. Its paste-type fruits are particularly useful in the kitchen.

Its dwarf plant, with rugose foliage, reaches about 1.20 m (4 ft). It is very productive, but most of its production comes later in the season.

Dwarf Almandine was developed as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project, a collaborative dwarf tomato breeding project involving Craig LeHoullier.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
