A magnificent beefsteak tomato with an orange-yellow skin covered in rosy-red stripes, offering a mild, low-acidity flavour.

What I particularly enjoy about Big Orange Stripe is the contrast between its orange-yellow colour and rosy-red stripes, along with its mild and balanced flavour. Its large, flattened fruits have yellow-orange flesh streaked with red. Generally fleshy and juicy, the texture can also vary from fruit to fruit, sometimes developing a slight mealy quality reminiscent of watermelon.

Big Orange Stripe is an American heirloom variety. Its indeterminate plants with regular foliage produce beautiful fruits weighing up to 250 to 500 g. Harvest begins approximately 80 to 85 days after transplanting.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
