The breeder, Jeff Dawson has accomplished a feat here by crossing the liveliness of the Sungold with the tradition of the Amish Paste. The result is a heart-shaped, flamboyant red tomato that embodies everything Anthony Bourdain loved about cooking: passion, character, and raw authenticity. For me, it has become a must-have. I reserve a special spot in the garden for it every year, for that complex flavor and deep sweetness that make it an exceptional tomato."
